Sunday 9.00am Church Service

(Holy Communion Sundays are the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month)

We would love to welcome you all to our Sunday morning worship service. We are a multicultural church on the Northern Beaches of Cairns. The coffee machine is up and running at 8.30am for those who’d like to enjoy a coffee before the service begins. All are welcome to stay for morning tea and a chat after the service – the coffee machine will be on again!

A Word from our Pastor Chris Readon

We believe that the essence of a Sunday morning worship service is that Christ Himself leads His people in worship to the Father as our great High Priest through the Holy Spirit. By the Spirit, we are able to hear the voice of Christ and be renewed through His completed work, as revealed in the Scriptures. As the word of Christ renews the people of God, the diversity of the Spirit’s gifts leads to a renewed fellowship among one another.

The Basis of Union. 4 Christ rules and renews his church. The Uniting Church acknowledges that the church can live and endure through the changes of history only because its Lord comes, addresses and deals with people in and through the news of his completed work. Christ, who is present when he is preached among his people, is the Word of God who acquits the guilty, who gives life to the dead and who brings into being what otherwise could not exist.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the people of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Congregational Brunches

When there is a 5th Sunday in a month, those of us staying after the church service for our Brunch bring a sweet or savoury dish to share – and we then enjoy each other’s company whilst having an early lunch. It is a great opportunity to ‘linger longer’ over some valuable fellowship, whilst enjoying delicious food.
